Care & sizing
Handmade crochet behaves differently from shop-bought knitwear. A few minutes here will keep your piece looking right for years.
The details
Washing
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Do not wring - press the water out between two towels. Machine washing felts and shrinks most yarns, and it cannot be undone.
Drying
Dry flat, away from direct sun. Hanging a wet crochet piece stretches it out of shape permanently, because the weight of the water pulls the stitches down.
Pilling and snags
Small bobbles are normal on handmade yarn and are not a fault. Trim them with scissors. If a stitch snags, pull the loop through to the back rather than cutting it.
Amigurumi and stuffed pieces
Spot clean only. Soaking stuffed pieces waterlogs the filling and it takes days to dry, which can leave a smell.
How our sizing works
Every piece is made by hand, so allow about 1-2 cm of variation from the measurements listed. Measurements are of the garment laid flat, not of your body. If you are between sizes, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you which way to go.
Made-to-order timing
Made-to-order pieces show a lead time on the product page. That is the time your maker needs to crochet it, and it starts the day you order - delivery time is on top of that.
Returns on custom pieces
Ready-to-ship pieces can be returned unused within 7 days. Made-to-order and personalised pieces cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or differ from what was ordered, because they were crocheted specifically for you and cannot be resold.
